My daughter and I have been wanting to get a DSLR for several years but were always concerned about the price for the resolution we were seeking. My situation started in January of 09 when I bought the Canon XSi Rebel along with the 50mm f1.8 and the 55-250mm IS lens after reading extensive reviews on the internet before I purchased the camera. I got my touch 32GB iPod 3G for Christmas and instantly fell in love with it. Paid extra for the 24hr delivery and it arrived first thing the following morning. First impressions are that its at the bottom end of the LG range. The plastic feels quite cheap and is very very shiny. The remote is small and not that easy to see which button your pressing. The on-screen programme guide is also ridiculously small and hard to read. On starting up the autotune worked fine and the picture is good but not spectacular. Surprisingly the sound is very good and fills the room quite easily - although for DVD watching I have a Surround sound amp attached. Only had the TV 2 weeks but the Freeview reception seems poor and regularly breaks up - haven't tried to 'tweak it' yet so will try that...

This is the controller that the PS3 should have had from the start. The Sixaxis controller can't compare to it. Besides having the rumble capabilities, the PS3 Controller Dualshock 3 weighs about 40% more and feels much more solid than the Sixaxis. Battery life is excellent. I charge it every couple of weeks. I have to echo Bearcat's rating as he is very thorough and accurate, but I want to throw my 2 cents in. When coupled with Samsung's own super-slim wall mount, which is just a glorified cable hanging on two sturdy disks, the TV sits amazingly close to the wall. Another neat feature that I found hard to believe--When watching movies from an external hard drive, the TV can read a large variety of video CODECs. It can read MP4, AVI, WMV, and MPG files. I just got this TV two days ago. As soon as I started to look I saw that the shadows in the corners and along the sides were not nearly as dark as the shadows in the center of the picture. And 'as if there was a gremlin in every corner of shining a flashlight toward the center. I called Samsung customer service and they told me that this problem is caused when packing foam is too tight during shipping, and should go away within 2-3 weeks. When to Buy Rebel XSi I am a pro shooter who got this camera to use for fun and trips were I would be mad if I damaged my high end $$$ body.(like skiing) Any way I love the camera so far.
